Mighty Joe Young occurs as film made in 1949 by the same project team responsible King Kong. Written by Merian C. Cooper (world health organization provided a story) and

Schoedsack, it tells the story of a fille, 'Jill Young', played by Terry Moore, living in the wildlife preserve in Africa, who finishes higher bringing the title character — a elephantine ape (although not jumbo in a King Kong shell, however extra along the lines of 10-12 feet tall) — to New York City. A picture show co-star's Ben Johnson, as 'Gregg', within his 1st major role. The 1998 remake starred Bill Paxton ('Gregg') and Charlize Theron ('Jill'), and was directed by Ron Underwood. In a remaking, a ape is somewhat big, & the pair attend Hollywood, California instead of New York.
